You may have heard of Brainstorm \u2013 you may have even attended a brainstorming meeting or even conducted the process. In short, a brainstorm is a process for generating creative ideas and solutions through intensive and freewheeling group discussion.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There is another method called\u00a0Brain writing\u00a0which\u00a0is similar to brainstorming\u00a0\u2013 brain writing, however,\u00a0as the name implies,\u00a0is about writing\u00a0out your ideas rather than speaking\u00a0them out.\u00a0It\u00a0gives everyone equal opportunity to participate, and it enables all group members to think without any “blocking.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In\u00a0this<\/a>\u00a03 minute video, Professor Risa Mish, discusses both brainstorming and brain writing and explains why brain writing is the better option to generate as many ideas as possible while giving everyone a fair chance.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
