Data Analytics – A Global Crisis Unfolding

A McKinsey Global Institute study states that the US will face a shortage of about 190,000 data scientists and 1.5 million managers and analysts who can understand and make decisions using Big Data by 2018.

The demand for analytics skills has been growing exponentially, but there is a huge deficit on the supply side. This is happening globally and is not restricted to any part of geography. In spite of Big Data Analytics being dubbed as a ‘Hot’ job, there is still a large number of unfilled jobs across the globe.

Cornell University launched its Data Analytics Certificate in June 2017, and in the first 6 months, more than 700 learners enrolled in nearly 2,000 courses, with 263 certificates being conferred. This Certificate is being delivered via eCornell, which means it can be taken anytime, anywhere. The 3 courses for this Certificate, which each run for 3 weeks are:-

  • Understanding and Visualizing Data
  • Implementing Scientific Decision Making
  • Using Predictive Data Analysis

This Certificate retails for US$ 3,600. For the month of April 2018, Genashtim is offering a limited number of these Certificates at a massive 50% discount.  Please click here to register, and do indicate the promotion code“DATA50OFF”.
