On October 1, 2018, Infosys announced a three-year collaboration with Cornell University with the purpose of reshaping the workforce and driving digital transformation by advancing employee education and research. Together with experts from Cornell University, Infosys is committed at educating its global workforce on revolutionary technologies such as Blockchain, machine learning and human computer interaction, as well as imparting skills in data analytics, design, systems thinking, critical thinking and engineering on eCornell virtual platform. An estimate of 300 of its international employees are expected to participate in this joint certification while many others will enrol course by course.

Cornell University’s Dean of Computing and Information Science faculty, Greg Morrisett, expressed excitement over the agreement with Infosys whereby the opportunity enables both parties to address cutting edge research in technology and inviting the next generation to deal with these technologies. Paul Krause, Executive Lead, eCornell & Associate Vice Provost for Online Learning, Cornell University, said that the university is honoured after Infosys has chosen its innovative online learning solutions to help prepare their workforce to meet the high demands of digital transformation, as well as ensuring their workforce is developing necessary skills for the future.
